Kas has so many bars concentrated in the same area, making it a great town for bar hopping and seaside fun. After many months there, here are my picks for the 5 best bars in Kas, Turkey (Türkiye)! Also check out the best places to catch the sunset and how to get to Kas from Dalaman airport or Antalya airport.
Mavi
Atmospheric off the main square; top pick for people-watching
Mavi is one of Kas’ signature bars, with brightly colored wooden chairs and tables out on the street. It’s just off the main square and by the harbor, so a lively, atmospheric spot for people-watching outside. It’s one of those casual, effortlessly cool places for a drink you find in many seaside Mediterranean towns.
Deja Vu
Fantastic indie music with sea views; top pick for solo travelers
Deja Vu is a laidback spot overlooking the sea that’s great for drinks at sunset. It’s one of Kas’ longest-standing bars, around for 25 years. The owner is really into music and movies, so you’ll find deep cut references to both all over the place. He plays great indie music at the bar (where you can also sit). The music is so good you’ll see people Shazaming in unison. It’s one of the most Shazamed spots in Turkey!
Echo
Live music venue; top pick for dancing
Echo is a popular bar in Kas for live music and dancing that’s been around for ages. It attracts tourists as well as locals with an edgier/bohemian vibe. There’s a nice outdoor section with a bar, table seating, and atmospheric hanging lights, plus an indoor space for dancing. Echo has something going on every night of the tourism season, so check their Instagram to see which days they have live music versus a DJ.
Cafe Barcelona
Casual bar on a cozy side street
Cafe Barcelona is in the center of town, by all the restaurants and bars, but tucked away on a side street. It has a pub-like vibe with tables outside on the street and attracts a wide range of tourists and locals. It’s a good place to go for a beer if you feel like some light outdoor people-watching in a laidback spot.
Pell’s
Trendy and modern
Pell’s is one of the newest and most modern establishments in Kas. It’s a restaurant and bar that later turns into a nightclub with a live DJ. I actually don’t like this bar (I find the clientele a bit pretentious and don’t think the music is good). Still, many people, especially mainstream domestic tourists and even locals, like Pell’s, so check it out if you’re interested in a trendy, modern place with a beach bar vibe.
