Here’s how to get from Trapani to the Aegadian (Egadi) Islands in Sicily (and vice versa) and to travel between the islands of Favignana, Levanzo, and Marettimo. How to Get to the Aegadian (Egadi) Islands from Trapani

Ferry

It’s easy to get from Trapani to any of the Aegadian Islands via Liberty Lines ferries. Liberty Lines departs from the hydrofoil terminal located at Via Ammiraglio Staiti, 55-61, 91100 Trapani. It takes 25 minutes to get to Levanzo, 30 to get to Favignana, and 70 to get to Marettimo (after stopping in Favignana first). All three islands are connected by Liberty Lines ferries, so it’s simple to travel between them once you get there. Levanzo and Favignana are 10 minutes apart, which makes day trips between the two effortless. Marettimo is a 30-minute ferry ride from the other two Islands, so it gets far fewer tourists.

Tips
  • In July and August, book your ticket the day before (or earlier). Tickets go quickly in peak season.
  • Don’t get to the dock more than 15 minutes early for your ferry. You will board minutes before!

  • If you are sensitive to motion on boats, sit in the middle of the hydrofoil on the lowest level.
