Tbilisi has some of the best hotels I’ve seen anywhere in the world at a fraction of the cost. Georgia’s Adjara Group is behind many of the country’s top places to stay, including Stamba, Rooms Tbilisi, Fabrika, and Rooms Kazbegi, a luxury retreat in the Caucasus Mountains. These are my picks for the best hotels in Tbilisi, Georgia for every budget! Prices are accurate as of February 2025 but may change or fluctuate based on the season.

Luxury (~$200/night)

Stamba is the most iconic and popular hotel in Georgia. It’s an architecture and design lover’s dream, set inside a former 1930s Soviet publishing house in Vera, a great neighborhood to be based in and explore. The luxury hotel has an edgy, post-industrial vibe with high ceilings, exposed brick, dim lighting, and retro colors. But Stamba is more than a hotel. It’s a cultural landmark in Tbilisi filled with more locals than hotel guests. Tbilisi residents come for the trendy restaurants and bars, to hang out in the garden and amphitheater, and work from D Block Workspace. P.S. I’ve spent months at Stamba and written all about it here! If you like Stamba’s style, its sister hotel next door, Rooms Tbilisi, is another great option.

High-End (~$100/night)

Unfound Door is a small boutique hotel that elegantly bridges Georgia’s past and present. Housed in a restored 19th-century historic building with pseudo-Baroque frescoes, the hotel preserves Tbilisi’s unique cultural heritage, blending it with modern design and luxury. Unfound Door offers an intimate and personalized stay, featuring elegant interiors and a gorgeous restaurant and bar. It’s centrally located on the east side of the Kura River, close to Marjanishvili metro station. The hotel is steps from Barbarestan, one of Tbilisi’s best fine dining restaurants. Its owners found a 19th-century Georgian cookbook at an antique market and recreated its traditional recipes using modern, innovative techniques.

Mid-Range (~$60/night)

Communal Hotel Plekhanovi is a beautifully designed boutique hotel in Plekhanovi, not far from Unfound Door, on the east side of the river. The hotel serves guests breakfast at a communal table and has a bar, terrace, and two of the city’s best restaurants. Craft Wine Restaurant is one of Tbilisi’s top wine bars and places to eat. Their other popular restaurant, Weller, serves Middle Eastern mezze. Communal also has a similar hotel in Solokaki, near the gorgeous Cafe Littera and the excellent cocktail bar 41° Art of Drinks.

Budget (~$10/night)

Fabrika, housed in a former Soviet sewing factory, is one of Tbilisi’s trendiest social hubs. It’s in the neighborhood of Chugureti, known for its artsy vibe and vibrant nightlife. The hostel has an industrial-chic design with dorm beds costing around $10/night and private rooms for about $40/night. Its lively and atmospheric courtyard with bars, cafes, and shops and the hostel’s excellent co-working spaces attract locals and travelers in droves. Fabrika is a game-changer, unlike any other hostel in the world.
